Pocketful is a puzzle game made by Ben Yim. This policy explains what information the app handles, and it's short because Pocketful is built to keep your data on your device.
Your puzzle progress, solve history, statistics, streaks, hints, and settings are stored only on your device. Pocketful has no accounts and no servers of its own, so we never see, collect, or store this information. Deleting the app deletes it.
The free version of Pocketful shows ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect device information such as your IP address (which can indicate approximate location), device identifiers, and ad interaction data. How Google uses this information is described in Google's partner sites policy and privacy policy.
If you allow tracking when iOS asks (the App Tracking Transparency prompt), Google may use your device's advertising identifier to show more relevant ads. If you decline, or never see an ad, no such tracking occurs. You can change this choice anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. In regions with consent laws (such as the EEA and UK), Pocketful shows a consent form before any ads, and your choices there control how ads are served.
Subscribers to Pocketful Premium see no ads, and no ad technology is initialized for them at all.
We sometimes advertise Pocketful on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. So that we can tell whether those ads lead to installs, the app includes the measurement SDKs from Meta and TikTok, which report an anonymous app-install and app-open signal to the network that showed you the ad. This works through Apple's SKAdNetwork, which is designed so that neither we nor the ad network can identify you from it. If you allow tracking in the iOS prompt, the network may also receive your device's advertising identifier; if you decline, only the anonymous signal is sent. We do not send Meta or TikTok your puzzle activity, your purchases, or anything you enter in the app. How each handles this information is described in Meta's privacy policy and TikTok's privacy policy.
To understand which puzzles people enjoy and where the app could be better, Pocketful sends anonymous usage events to PostHog, such as "a puzzle was solved" or "a tutorial was completed". These events are tied to a random install identifier, not to you: there is no name, email, account, or contact information anywhere in the app to attach them to. Reinstalling the app generates a new identifier.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We never receive your name, payment details, or billing information. To keep your subscription status accurate across reinstalls, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives your App Store purchase receipt together with a random identifier for your install. That identifier is not tied to your name, email, or Apple Account.
If you enable daily-challenge reminders, those notifications are scheduled locally on your device. Nothing is sent from or to a server.
Pocketful is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, child or adult; the app has no accounts and asks for nothing that could identify you.
Pocketful holds no account or profile about you, so there is nothing for us to look up by name. Your puzzle data lives on your device, and the only information that leaves it is the anonymous ad, measurement, and usage data described above. You can also reset or limit your advertising identifier in iOS Settings.
Deleting Pocketful from your device deletes everything the app stores: progress, statistics, streaks, and settings. There is no account to close and no copy on our side.
If you would like the anonymous usage events associated with your install removed, email support@playpocketful.com with the subject "Data deletion". Because those events are not linked to your identity, please write from the device the app is installed on and mention roughly when you installed it, and we will delete the matching records within 30 days and confirm by reply.
Data that Google, Meta, or TikTok hold in connection with advertising is managed through their own tools: see the links above, or turn off tracking for Pocketful in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
If Pocketful ever changes how it handles data (for example, if optional accounts or cloud sync are added), this policy will be updated here before those features ship, with a new effective date.
